“Love Craft” the follow-up to 2012’s “Vajra,” containing the other songs recorded during sessions for that album, was a victim to disastrous computer problems, and irreparably lost, without a backup of the recorded tracks to mix.

As a consolation of sorts, a half-finished bootleg of early mixes, used to test the recordings on a car’s soundsystem, was assembled unedited for release and Frankensteined with various standard cover songs sprinkled in.

It’s an uncharacteristically scruffy, lo-fi glimpse into the process that goes into recording one of these albums.
